Section 2: Hall Events
The students living in Hillcrest know how to work hard. However, they also know how to relax. Below are a sampling of some of a few activities that have been going on around the hall. Also see some of the Halloween pictures (in the next section) for some more examples of this.

Here's where one of Brad's (my Resident Advisor) friends came back to Blacksburg. So what else could we do but have a Jam Session! We got some coffee and hot apple cider from a coffee shop downtown, and we were off!
| And here's a not at all staged group shot. (Notice that I made sure I was in both of these pictures! Hope you're happy. But camera timers can be wonderful things.) |
Here's Brad and Ryan doing their popular number "I Hate Winnipeg," which is actually a very good song. And it is not at all degrading to this (I assume) fine Canadian city.
| I must comment: the hot apple cider (as modeled by Geoff... over Brad's shoulder) was quite wonderful. You can see the container on the table... it's nearly empty in this shot already. |
And here's my roommate, David, in the white t-shirt. Everybody was either having a good time or falling asleep- from the calming, soothing music... not anything else. |
| I'd like to point out that not only does the Hillcrest Hall living room make a very good, quiet, relaxing study environment... but it can also be a very good coffeehouse type environment. |
Horray for artsy over-the-shoulder interview-type shots! |
| And here's another shot of Brad in action... so fast it's blurry! |
Another event, this one put on by the Hillcrest Hall council, was the Classic Video Game night. They borrowed my TV (relatively large!) for Super Nintendo games. We also had Nintendo and Nintendo 64 systems there... good times. Here, DT and TJ (really) are playing some type of space-fighting-shooting game. |
| And here's Kevin, Chris and Jetta (behind Collin and Geoff) playing Mario Party for N64. |
And now here's Collin playing my favorite game of the night... TETRIS! Collin, TJ and I had a friendly rivalry going on for the high score. I don't remember who won, but it definitely wasn't me. |
