| In this exciting episode, our hero learns an important lesson about the importance of teamwork when he and his estranged colleagues have to come together to defeat an old arch-nemesis. No, wait, that was this week's episode of Popular Sci-Fi Television Show. This month... lots of stuff happens. As usual. And it makes the month go quickly, and it also makes us want to write about it - which explains the unusual punctuality of this update. |

Movies!
|
||
| Woo hoo, we watched some movies and such on the big screen in the dining room. I believe that we are watching Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark in this picture. | ![]() |

Diplomacy!
|
||
| There's this game that people play in the building every year called Diplomacy. It's kind of like Risk, in that it takes about a 249 years to play. Each team is a European country, and you have to move your armies into other territories in an attempt to TAKE OVER THE WORLD. If you don't support your defenders adequately, then you eventually lose. | ![]() |

This what what was happening today: we were taking a few countries out of the game...

Fortunately, Resident Marching Virginian member Will was here to play taps for us.

Miscellaneous!

This is how nerds send signals to each other. Enough said. Coincidentally, this is also Part I in this month's series on "Weird Tory Faces." |

Halloween!
|
||
| Halloween is a suprisingly important holiday for us college students. Coming up with a moderately creative costume is very important. Unfortunately, Elaine chose not to participate. Here she is with her roommate. | ![]() |

It's a real shame that Brad refused to join in as well. Oh well, at least he and Elaine can go out for a nice romantic dinner or something boring like that.
| And now, the Halloween tradition continues: it's time to watch The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, a really great movie. | ![]() |

Oh, and in case you were wondering what I went as, here are some pictures of my costume of Stephen Colbert.
| See, I've even got his trademark move, the Rip-n-Squint. | ![]() |

See the Rip-n-Squint in an animated GIF by clicking on this picture. Ooh, spooky. The 256 colors, that is. I mean, it's Halloween, right?
